Well, the biggest and smelliest pile of '98 has got to be The Starr Report. Enough said.

The whole
damned thing makes you wish for the good old days when Ronnie Reagan just
wanted to destroy the world.
Up in Canada, we've got less practice than the Yanks, so our political bullshit artists aren't professionals like theirs, but we've got some enthusiastic amateurs.
Look at Prime Minister Cretien - he used our national police force as hired thugs to beat up students so that he could suck up to to a brutal third world dictator.
Out in BC,
the Premier has completely lost his grip on reality, and still thinks
he can go out in public without getting shot. We wish him the best
of luck. When he does finally catch a slug, he'll have to wait like the
rest of us since all of the hospitals will probably be closed. Without
doctors, nurses and technicians, its probably a waste of time for all
of the bureaucrats running the health system to show up, so at least we'll
be able to save their over-inflated salaries. The generous golden handshakes
they get when they get fired may eat into the savings though, so who knows?
